I Reading
passage (1)
Read the text then answer the questions below:
My name is Noor. I'm 14 years old. I go to Al-Safa School in
Dubai. I'm in grade 9. The teacher gave our class the schedule for
the whole semester. We have seven periods everyday, three in the
morning and four in the afternoon. We also have a break in the
morning and a prayer break in the afternoon. Each period is forty
five minutes. The prayer break is after the fifth period and it lasts
for ten minutes only.
On Sunday, we have Science, then English then Math. In the
afternoon, we have Arabic and Sports. After the prayer, we have
Religious studies, and then History. Monday's schedule is exactly
the same as Sunday. On Thursday, we have Geography, Arabic and
IT in the morning. Then, we have Arts and English after the break.
After that, we have Math and science after the prayer break.

Read the following passage, then answer the questions below:
Mrs. Smith is an old woman who lives alone in her villa by the
sea. Nobody has seen her having visitors except her young brother
Sam. Mrs. Smith has no children of her own, so she adores her
brother's children as if they were hers. Every day she gets up early
and takes her dog for a ride across the street, and then she goes to
the shop to buy the newspapers and some milk. Although she is a
rich person, she doesn't have a servant because she believes in the
importance of work.
On holidays, Sara and Jack visit their aunt and spend a
splendid time together. In the morning, they go swimming. Then,
they enjoy horse riding and biking in the afternoon while their aunt
is watching over them. At night, they all watch a comedy film. Sara
likes playing music, so her aunt bought her a piano and gave Jack a
lovely golden watch. When the school begins, Mrs. Smith kisses
them goodbye and goes back to her boring life waiting for the next
holiday.
